Fruit Definitions

ORANGES:

Navel - large to extra large size fruit, round to oval shape, deep yellow to orange color. Pebbly, medium to thick peel. Usually seedless. Peels and sections very easily.
Available from November through January.

Scarlet Navel - large to extra large size fruit, round oval shape, deep yellow to orange color. Pebbly, medium to thick to peel. Usually seedless. Peels and sections very easily. Flesh is a deep red color of the Ruby Red Grapefruit with the sweet taste of a Navel Orange.
Available just a few short weeks in November.

Temple- medium size fruit, oval shape, deep orange color with a sometimes pebbly peel. Few seeds, peels and sections easily. Has rich flavor and fragrance all its own. Generally regarded as MR. FRUITS' best eating orange.
Available February only.

Valencia - medium to large size fruit, round to oval shape, yellow to orange color (sometimes tinged with green) with a smooth, thin peel. Usually seedless or with very few seeds, orange colored flesh, which is loaded with golden juice of fine rich flavor and aroma.
Available March through May.

GRAPEFRUIT:

Ruby Red- medium to large size fruit, usually flattened at each ends. Smooth yellow peel with flesh areas pink to red blush, few seeds. Segments have characteristic pink to reddish tinge.
Available November through May.

TANGELOS & TANGERINES:

Honeybell Tangelo - sometimes called the "Minneola" Tangelo. Medium to large size fruit, round to somewhat bell shaped. Deep orange to red in color with smooth to pebbly peel. Few seed in this tangerine-grapefruit hybrid.
Available January Only.

Baby Bell Tangelo - Smaller than Honeybell Tangelos, but their sweet, juice taste is just as big! A perfect snacking size and a great value. Baby Bells are available for a short time only.
Available January Only.

Honey Tangerine - sometimes called the "Murcott" Tangerine. Small to medium size fruit, usually flattened at each end. Yellow to orange color (sometimes tinged with green or russet) with a smooth, thin peel. Has some seeds. Its rich, red flesh is honey sweet and juicy, with a lovely fragrance.
Available February through March.

Canadian Shipments: We ship to the provinces of Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island. If ordering on-line an additional $9.00 U.S. per box shipping and handling fee will be assessed. If ordering from the print version of the catalog online, additional shipping and handling fees will total $18.00 U.S. per box .
