Tom Moch - Founder of Mr. Fruit, Inc. Tom's grandfather, Perry Lloyd, was a pioneer in Florida's developing citrus industry in the early 1900's. In the 1930's, Uncles Austin, Arthur, Perry and Robert Lloyd continued the family tradition by owning fruit stands, hauling and brokering fruit. Arthur Lloyd sold Indian River Citrus in Cocoa, Florida at Pocahontas Fruit Company a roadside fruit stand he owned along US 1 during the 1940's and 1960's. Perry Lloyd Jr. was a citrus broker, owner and executive officer of Lloyd Citrus Trucking, Inc., Fort Pierce, Florida for over forty years. He was a member of "People to People", traveling to Russia and China as a representative, and he visited Brazil and Africa with Florida Citrus Mutual. The name "Lloyd" has been associated with Florida's Indian River Citrus for almost a century.

Sylvia

Sylvia Moch - Sylvia manages order processing, purchasing and the day to day operations and is the primary business contact for Mr. Fruit, Inc. Tom & Sylvia met in junior high school and married one year after graduating form Colonial High School, Orlando, Florida, Class of 1973 together. The couple has been together over thirty years and married to each other over twenty-seven years. Mr. Fruit is one of the joint business ventures they share.

Mr. Fruit, Inc., is a licensed and bonded Florida Gift Fruit Dealer with a deep family tradition in Florida's citrus industry. The company employs a full time staff of telemarketing and customer service representatives to process orders and ensure complete unconditional 100% satisfaction. In addition, we maintain an ample staff of experienced, trained professionals to prepare, pack and ship our fruit to its final destination.

The uniqueness of Mr. Fruit is its rich heritage and spirit to carry forward a family tradition of three generations. Just like Perry Lloyd Sr. (Grandfather) and Uncles Austin, Arthur, Robert and Perry Jr., there is a special partner working hand-in-hand to ensure the success of the business. Imagine, two kids growing up together in Orlando, Florida in the 1960's, attending the same schools and ultimately partnering in marriage. We learned at an early age how to depend on each other and work together to meet common objectives. How many people remain actively in touch with a childhood friend for over thirty years? We consider ourselves very fortunate and blessed in this aspect of our lives.

Mr. Fruit's name originated from the first alpha character of the last name of the two founding partners and was to be named "MR" Fruit. The idea to create the first Internet based Florida gift fruit company started one day in 1994 while Tom Moch and Marty Ritchie were engaged in a lunch meeting. Idea's were tossed back and forth regarding business investment opportunities. It was agreed specializing and niche marketing was key to success in the new frontier of Internet marketing. Florida Citrus was selected based on the wealth of available experience and resources to guide Mr. Fruit, Inc. While filing for licenses, bonds, articles of incorporation, etceteras, various clerks began to wisecrack and ask who was the real Mr. Fruit? It stuck.........and so it goes.....
